Overview


USAID’s Momentum Private Healthcare Delivery (MPHD)’s goal is to support the Government of Indonesia to enhance the engagement and effectiveness of the private healthcare sector as a sustainable approach to providing quality maternal and newborn health (MNH) services and contribute to reduced rates of maternal and newborn deaths in Indonesia in urban and peri-urban areas in North Sumatra, Banten, DKI Jakarta, East Java, South Sulawesi, by:


Improving access and quality of MNH services provided by private healthcare providers

Improving policies and regulations that enable private sector engagement

Increasing the number of districts with private and public sector health systems linked and integrated


MPHD seeks experienced researchers to do baseline for listing, obtaining permission e.g. from local government, IRB, etc., and collecting baseline data from private health providers at sub national level.


Scope of Works


  • Listing and collect indicators required to select private health providers at sub national level

  • Obtaining permission for baseline data collection:

  • from local government at sub national level

  • from private health facilities

  • Collect baseline data using approved instruments from selected health facilities

  • observe and assess facility readiness

  • assess routine data from HIS at DHO and health facilities e.g. cohort, simatneo, PWS KIA, program report, etc

  • Manage and input data to prepared database

  • Write baseline summary report

  • Clarify if there are incomplete or questions regarding data being collected through phone call or re-visit the health facilities

  • Maintain good communication with colleagues and supervisors

  • Document the data collection process in several modes e.g., notes, recording, etc.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree from medical/public health/midwifery/nurse disciplines

  • Experiences in researches especially in private health sectors and MNH areas

  • Excellent communication skills particularly with health providers, health facility managers, policy makers/stakeholders at both province and district levels

  • Ability to communicate in speaking and writing both Bahasa Indonesia and English

  • Ability and willingness to travel to designated facilities/districts within the province as needed
