Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare annual country advocacy and marketing plan and budget, with consideration of direct reflection of designed global, regional and local advocacy and marketing goals, including campaigns and regular activities to support treatment & care, prevention & testing, brand level communication, and key events.
Coordinate and implement annual advocacy & marketing plans with different stakeholders, including the government, national development networks, key decision policymakers.
Coordinate with all site partners to plan and implement site events and activities to ensure all are aligned with country objectives and implemented in cost-effective manner and receive the best impact.
Act as a key person for developing marketing strategies and PR/Media Communications and monitoring its implementation in line with the organization’s strategy priorities to promote public awareness/ engagement, brand visibility, service referral, and behavioural change that promotes comprehensive prevention initiatives and client retention in care.
Manage AHF’s media monitoring agencies (print press clips, web, video and radio), including AHF Indonesia social media.
Provide and facilitate timely reporting of the organization narrative reports to AHF Asia Bureau, as well as the Indonesian government.
Organize training & meetings regarding Advocacy & Marketing and events in Indonesia.
Liaise with Asia Bureau and Global Advocacy team in developing specific and general HIV/AIDS and related news stories, articles and opinion pieces to print, online and electronic news outlets.
Manage and oversee AHF press conferences and other media events and strengthen media relations through strategic media activations.
Represent AHF at meetings and conferences, including the Indonesia C20 and G20 related activities or events.
As guided by Country Program Manager, take leadership in planning and implementing Global Advocacy efforts in line with Global Initiatives and strategies that benefit poor and marginalized people around the world.
Undertake other duties as assigned by CPM.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
Education and/or Experience
Degree in Public Health, Mass Communication, Community Development or any other relevant degrees.
At least 5 years experience in advocacy program development and marketing implementation
Appropriate experience may be considered in place of a postgraduate degree.
Excellent understanding of HIV prevention messaging as well as the use of media in HIV prevention.
Skills and Specifications
Excellent oral and written communication effectively in English in a variety of settings such as staff meetings, discussions with partners, reporting and training workshops;
Ability to write routine reports and correspondences;
Demonstrate ability and willingness to take the initiative and to be flexible depending on changing priorities and deadlines;
Able to travel within the country and the countries of Asia Bureau;
Flexible, proactive and able to organize work independently as well as work in a team;
Team players and service-minded;
Demonstrate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge in Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube.
