Amnesty International Indonesia is seeking a professional with demonstrated experience in human rights, to support the implementation of community organising strategies for Amnesty International Indonesia (AII) across the organization that includes the acquisition, retention, as well as mobilisation of Amnesty International activists to support AI Indonesia campaign priorities. ABOUT THE ROLE The Community Organising officer will support the implementation of community organising strategies for Amnesty International Indonesia (AII) across the organization. This role is responsible in managing day to day coordination with AI Indonesia activists' network which consist of more than 120 local action groups and university chapters as well as implementation of AI Indonesia social justice leaders project. The role will support the overall community organising work of AI Indonesia that includes the acquisition, retention, as well as mobilisation of Amnesty International activists to support AI Indonesia campaign priorities. This is done to enable progressively deeper level of engagement and strengthen our campaign impact. ABOUT YOU The suitable candidates should be experienced in grassroots activist mobilization acquisition and management, online community organizing (including e-activism, online activist empowerment), and other innovative activist retention techniques. Excellent communication skills, including a proven ability to adapt content and write for different mediums and audiences, experience in producing content for communication blast i.e. social media and email, project documents, training modules and demonstrated ability to use content management systems effectively. ABOUT US Amnesty International Indonesia is a national human rights entity that is part of a global human rights movement, established to address national human rights priorities as well as create the possibility for people in Indonesia to join Amnesty International's global human rights campaigns. Our mission in Indonesia is to address pertinent national human rights issues through research, campaigning and human rights education, and to empower Indonesians to take action on issues that matter to them through AI's international human rights movement; and to leverage Indonesia's influence regionally and globally to promote human rights domestically, bilaterally and internationally.
