[Amnesty International] : FAIR TRIAL OFFICER FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE LEADER PROJECT

Amnesty International Indonesia is seeking a professional with demonstrated experience in human rights and legal, to develop knowledge and information management of appropriate fair trial mechanisms and provide capacity building on fair trial to protect HRDs/SJL. ABOUT THE ROLE The Fair Trial Officer will develop knowledge and information management of appropriate fair trial mechanisms to enable strategic partners and social justice leader to share and align strategies to address the criminalization of HRDs/SJLs as a crisis response and security mechanism for partners and HRDs/SJLs. ABOUT YOU The suitable candidate:

  • Excellent communication and reporting/drafting skills in English.

  • Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a reputable law firm or an international organization/corporation or national human rights and social justice NGOs / legal aid foundations is required, or an advanced degree in law from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a reputable law firm or an international organization/corporation would be an advantage;

  • Demonstrate a good grasp of relevant laws including, but not limited to, laws governing international non-profit organizations; Indonesian law, IP and related international laws and treaties, and labor, contract, personal data protection and corporate governance laws;

  • Experience in identifying and implementing capacity building activities for staff or partners for technical development needs;
