Job Description

Koperasi Jasa Institut Riset Eijkman (KIRE) in collaboration with Molecular Bacteriology Unit (MBU) of the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology seeks a full-time project officer to conduct Bacterial Culture Practice Study for a one-year contract duration with the possibility of extension. The candidate will work under the supervision of KIRE and the Head of MBU as an advisor and principal investigator of the study.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Supervise and manage field activity including, but not limited to, data and specimen collection.

  2. Perform research administration tasks including, but not limited to research permit and ethical requirements.

  3. Facilitate the implementation of the study with external collaborators from the study site in a timely manner.

  4. Cooperate with laboratory staff for study implementation.

Job Requirements

  1. Public health, medicine, epidemiology, or health-related major graduate with undergraduate or master’s degree (preferable).

  2. Minimum 2 years experience in health studies/projects in Indonesia, including study implementation and research administration.

  3. Able to work independently as an individual as well as as a part of a team.

  4. Having data management and analysis skills capacity is preferable, especially using statistic software(s), such as SPSS, STATA, etc.

  5. Eager to learn and have good problem-solving skills.

  6. Possess good interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.

  7. Proficient in written and spoken English.

  8. Willing to be placed mainly in Jakarta, with frequent travels to research locations
