[IPAS Indonesia] : Community Engagement Officer

The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for providing technical and implementation support for the project that aim to amplifying voices of women’s and girls’ victim and survivor of sexual violence to quality and comprehensive services, under Yayasan Inisiatif Perubahan Akses menuju Sehat (IPAS) Indonesia’s.


Reporting to the Program Manager, the Community Engagement Officer contributes to ensuring the implementation of the specific project, in collaboration with local partners, monitor service delivery progress and other follow up activities in consultation with the Program Manager.


Key Reponsibilities

  • Participate in project planning thus solid implementation plan is established

  • In consultation with the Program Manager, plan and implement project activities. This includes ensuring documentation and reporting of project activity.

  • Working closely and coordinate with relevant unit to ensure technical support are provided to project(s). This includes but not limited to advocacy and campaign unit in reference to strategies, activity updates, best practice and resource sharing.

  • Maintain regular communication with project partner, civil society movements, and other relevant stakeholders. When deemed necessary, represent Yayasan IPAS Indonesia in relevant networks and events related with the organization’s focus issues.

  • Coordinate with M&E unit to ensure monitoring plan is implemented properly and timely. This includes but not limited to gather regular data and information and document those accordingly.

  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring accountability of the project. This includes but not limited to complying to organizational regulation on financial management as well as admin and procurement standard, keep the required recording, and generate the required reports.

  • Contribute to the development of regular project reporting as per required by the organization as well as funding agencies.

  • Understand and practice ethical process and behavior as per the organization's standard

  • Contribute to safe working environment where every team member is treated equally and respectfully

  • Ensure facilities that pilot the comprehensive SRH service for women and girls understand and practice ethical process and behavior while in partnership and implement program with Yayasan Ipas Indonesia

Other

  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in social science, international relations or public health with 3-5 years of experience in non-government work, particularly in project implementation

  • Master’s degree in law, social studies, international relations, or development studies is an advantage.

  • Knowledgeable in gender equality and VAW issue and project.

  • Good portfolio in advocacy or civil society movement.

  • Deep understanding of human rights issues in the country and experience in engagement with law enforcement stakeholders will be an added value.

  • Proven analytical thinking skills.

  • Fluent in Indonesian (verbal and written communication) and working knowledge of English

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
