  • You are passionate about protecting and working with children and youth, and their families

  • You enjoy going out into the communities and organizing educational activities

  • You have a good understanding of the education system and government structures in Indonesia

  • You are confident to work directly with schools and relevant government agencies

  • You know very well how to organize your tasks and your responsibilities

  • You are a dynamic and supportive team worker

Friends consist of multiple dynamic teams that are delivering innovative services for children, youth, their families, and their communities. Together with our partners, we are creating a system that will provide protection to those in need and support people to become productive citizens of their country. You will be visiting various parts of Jakarta and working with communities to promote the importance of education. You will also be working with schools and supporting children to go back into the public school system by facilitating remedial classes, obtaining legal documents, etc. Your role will be to regularly follow up and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure children remain safe and in schools.

You will be working and growing within an international team with colleagues from Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, and all over the world! You will also be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of Social Workers, Teachers, Vocational Training Teachers, Project Officers, Technical Advisors, Employment Workers, HR/Finance/Admin teams, etc.
