Job Description
Organizational context Indonesia is strongly committed to implementing the SDGs and has integrated them into national development plans and processes, and its commitment to achieving them is reflected in the fact that it has institutionalized roles and responsibilities for their implementation at the country level through a Presidential Decree in 2017. A key challenge is to ensure that continued economic growth becomes more inclusive, including the participation of youth to also effectively support accelerated progress in social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
As part of the UN commitment to bringing youth economic empowerment through decent work and employment and as guided by National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2015-2019, UNDP Indonesia ensures to take part in developing youth in Indonesia. Co-created in 2017 by UNDP and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship by developing young people’s modern skills and by catalyzing and sustaining youth-led startups and social enterprises across the region.
