We have helped build hundreds of health programs from the ground up and responded to humanitarian crises worldwide.

Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH) has been known in Indonesia since 1960 when the hospital ship USS HOPE visited Indonesia as part of its visit to several countries for humanitarian operations. Yayasan Project HOPE manages several programs in the areas of Infection Diseases, Tuberculosis Laboratory Strengthening, Maternal Neonatal Health, COVID19 emergency response and Mental Health. It is also establishing of an emergency response hub to strengthen emergency response operating systems in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of Program Manager – Emergency and Community Health, she/he will be responsible to provide support for the implementation of Emergency, Community and Mental Health programs and other activities as assigned to improve the quality and effectiveness of YPH community heath and emergency response capabilities, maintain coordination with partner organization, emergency roster, education and training programs. etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Maintaining YPH organizational partners

a. Collaborate with current partners (AGD 118 / IKA FK Unpad / IBU Foundation/KUN Humanity) to carry out joint capacity building, information sharing and the creation of a connected system when emergency response operations take place.

b. Maintaining coordination among Project HOPE emergency response roster members, and to ensure that the data and documents of the roster team are kept up to date.

c. Maintain collaboration with IBU Foundation, Association of Clinical Psychologist, UGM CPHM and other partners on Community and Mental Health programming.

1. Emergency response management

a. Support the Project HOPE in emergency response activities in Indonesia.

b. Deploy emergency response staff and volunteers.

c. Manage program implementation in emergency response settings.

2. Support program management on Community Health, Mental Health, and Health Promotion

a. Responsible for program planning and budgeting, implementation, monitor, evaluate, supervise and reporting programs in the area Community Health, Mental Health, Health Promotion and Community Mobilization

b. Participate in networking and close cooperation with relevant stakeholders: MoH, PHO and DHOs, BNPB and BPBD, Professional organizations etc.

3. Other tasks to support ongoing and new programs as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in the field of public health, nursing, health promotion, community mobilization or other relevant fields.

  • 2+ years of project support (management, planning, staff development and training skills) in emergency response / development programs.

  • Skills and knowledge in capacity building, project monitoring and evaluation

  • Strong writing, presentation, and training skills.

  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.

  • Computer proficiency should include Word, Excel, and other general experience with software programs.

  • Fluency in English required


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably those who have experience working with non-governmental organizations.

  • Preferably those who have experience working on Community based Mental Health program

  • Be comfortable interacting with new people and groups both one-on-one and for large gatherings

  • Be able to motivate above in positive collaboration

  • Exercise problem solving skills in day to day and crisis situations
